ITA, Jonathan. I'm going to say at the Paris in June. The guy is such a "WTF" on his tv shows, I want to see if his food lives up to his ego. I went to Mario's Batali's Carnevino and was overwhelmingly unimpressed.

It is nice to see Las Vegas finally getting serious about concierge service. I serve a pretty significant international visitor readership base, and a major complaint was that many Las Vegas "concierge desks" were glorified ticket booths. MGM (the company) has also been aggressively bringing on Les Clefs d’Or qualified concierges. We'll link to this next week. Good stuff to know.

I'm a little torn on this one. On the one hand, I'm not fond of Ramsay's television persona, particularly in his Hell's Kitchen mode, and do not want to reward that with patronage at one of his restaurants. On the other hand, I'm really tempted to see if he can put his money where his mouth is.

You won't have to miss the duct tape. The way CZR pinches pennies on capex, there will be plenty of duct tape around. Heck, it might improve the appearance of the Paris balloon!

Great point! Actually, we thought about that, but the floor of the walkway itself hits bumps, so that makes it tough to get that sharpness. This was hand-held, but maybe we'll try it again. The colors are amazing.
